I sat still and watched a bee
hover over a cone flower
Its translucent wings buzzed like lightning
legs, yellow and heavily laden
Then the universe unfolded
the great mystery became clear
In death, we become one
petty divisions dissolve
Atoms and molecules recycle
then remodel
What was me is the now the flower and the bee
the child’s eyes gaze upon my petals and wings
